On March 12, OLV parishioners and their pastor, Father Tony Arguelles traveled to New Orleans to vist the Blessed Seelos Shrine and Notre Dame Seminary, where parishioners Jonathan Goff and James Smith are currently studying for the priesthood. A good time was had by all!

Bishop Roger Morin conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on ten of our young people on March 29, 2011. This year's confirmandi are Morgan Dunn, Elizabeth Foster, Mason Franovich, Chandler Godfrey, Matthew Illich, Megan Letson, Nicole Noblitt, Mallory O'Sullivan, Amber Rigby and Patrick Smith. Chris McNally and Michelle Hill prepared these ten young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The following stations of the cross are based on those celebrated by Pope John Paul II on Good Friday 1991. They are presented here as an alternative to the traditional stations and as a way of reflecting more deeply on the Scriptural accounts of Christ's passion. OLV Parish held its Christmas Social Dec. 12 in the parish convent.

A busload of pilgrims from Our Lady of Victories Parish in Pascagoula traveled to St. Joseph Abbey on Oct. 4 where they toured the Abbey Church and refectory. The 26 pilgrims, led by OLV pastor Father Tony Arguelles and Deacon Mike Gilly, also visited with seminarians James Smith, who is an OLV parishioner, and Jonathan Goff, who was assigned to OLV Parish for a summer internship earlier this year. The group also attended the celebration of the daily Mass in commemoration of the anniversary of the dedication of the Abbey Church.
